So were did the summer go?? It seems to have disappeared and is leading us into fall. Johnny is a happy horse, I am back to work teaching. With most of the MBE riders at the High Ride in August and our own campouts still ahead of us there is not much to report.

I am looking forward to the Wrights Lake adventure and spending time with Patti A. I do miss that smile. I would like to say a BIG thank you to all the amazing MBE members that are so involved in our club. As you know, no club or organization can survive without people taking their personal time to do their part. Carolyn, for her years of devotion to membership, insurance, and fashion. Shawn, our VP, ride chair and insurance person; Margaret, the prize corral queen for the poker ride; the Garcias for all they do for the poker ride; Alicia our $$$ girl; Lois the queen of the newsletter and now the web site. Kim, our secretary; Maribeth, our trail advocate; Liz, (love that laugh) for registration and other stuff for the poker ride; Jo, our sunshine lady and Harry for all he does. To all of you that host a ride each year, all of you that do your time for the poker ride and just pitch in where ever needed. And a special thought to all the old timers that put this group together so that we can still enjoy it today. I think of all of you and how lucky we are to have each other and share something we love so much. If I missed anyone, I am sorry, you and what you do will never be forgotten. All of us have a life outside of our MBE family, but it takes all of our involvement to keep this family going. What I am trying to say this month, is a big thank you. You all know who you are. I’ve learned a lesson about all the love put into this group by it’s members and what MBE really means to them. I can only say I want to continue that kind of devotion to an amazing club, and thank you for life’s lessons and my horse family.

Ride on see ya on the trail,

Deb
