Dear MBE family,

WOW, what a whirl wind of a month December has been. My son turned 30, ya, I know how can that be when I’m only 29. I know that’s what you were thinking. Our Christmas party was a blast. I would like to say a special thank you to Shawn for the great slide show and pictures for the awards. And a very special thank you to Debra Means, who did an amazing job, (as usual) on the awards. I love seeing everyone all dressed up and having fun. Our member of year Mr. Armando Aguirre was so gracious in receiving his pin. With that said, I would love to wish each and everyone of you a wonderful new year. And, as always a wonderful riding new year. I would like to thank all of you who came to the ride meeting. It was very fun. Thanks to Mike G for being my Vanna and to all of you for helping to set up a great year to come. I would love to know what the members would like to see in the up coming year. Please contact me with suggestions on things you would like to do, talk about, go to, see, etc. I am open to all suggestions, to help make this a great year. I would like to see as many of us taking pictures and writing ride reports as possible. It seems the same people have gotten stuck with this over and over again. If you didn’t know it, after each ride and campout, Lois (our newsletter editor) is looking for ride reports. No not the kind of report you did in school, but a fun one. Like things that happened, funny stories, new jokes, things like that. So please we love hearing from EVERYONE. Just send an e-mail to Lois after the ride, she will get it into the newsletter.

This months horse treat recipe:

  • Cold Winter Evening Bran Mash
  • 4 cups sweet feed
  • 6 cups bran
  • 1 cup molasses
  • Hot water

Mix sweet feed with the bran. Add hot water until it is the consistency of hamburger.
Then add 1 cup of molasses. Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes.

Much love and happy riding

Deb
